CEDAR

This kitchen is situated in the heart of an important Grade 11* Jacobean country mansion which Tim Jasper extensively renovated some thirty years ago for a previous owner. The new owners asked Tim to remodel parts of the house, including improving access to the garden from the kitchen, which required Tim to obtain listed building consent to form a new doorway and entirely replace the kitchen.

He created a warm family kitchen with an electric Aga, island and comfortable seating, with a professional kitchen equipped with a powerful Wolf range and steam oven in the old scullery next door. Bookcases in the adjacent family room conceal redundant doorways, but retain access to the old butlers store to house a Greek tortoise, suitably decorated with a mural of ancient Greece and a refuge in the form of Greek temple
